Puppy Training

Well I have discovered, much to my chagrin, that my puppy training method is a bit tainted. I'm apparently teaching her hand signals rather than the word or words I'm saying. When I say "Lie down", I hold my hand low. "Sit up" - my hand's a bit higher. "Jump!" my hand is shoulder height. I discovered, by accident, that when I just say the words, Rose really has no clue what I want her to do. She randomly sits, sits up, jumps... *sigh* There's nothing intrinsically wrong with hand signals, I suppose, but I really would like her to understand the word. The only thing she can usually do ..mostly.. is "lie down".

Back to the drawing board!
